The sandy shore is also utilised for making nest by a wasp belonging to the family Sphegidae. The wasp identified as Bembex sulphurescens makes a burrow in the soil which is kept open. The wasp feeds its young on flies. Several wasps were seen on the sandy shore.

The area is rich in butterflies. 35 species of butterflies belonging to 6 families were recorded.
